About Panda Express

Panda Express, located at 2365 E Century Blvd Suite 3A, Los Angeles, CA 90002, United States, is a renowned Chinese restaurant chain that has been delighting customers with its bold flavors and fresh ingredients for decades. As a leading figure in the fast-casual dining industry, Panda Express has carved out a niche for itself by offering a unique blend of traditional Chinese cuisine with modern American twists. This blend is evident in its signature dishes, such as the iconic Orange Chicken and savory Beijing Beef, which have become staples in many American households.

The story of Panda Express begins with its founders, Andrew Cherng and Peggy Cherng, who first met at Baker University in Kansas. Andrew, born in China, and Peggy, born in Burma and raised in Hong Kong, shared a passion for bringing authentic Chinese flavors to the American palate. In 1973, they collaborated with Andrew’s father, Master Chef Ming-Tsai Cherng, to open the first Panda Inn in Pasadena, California. This initial venture laid the groundwork for what would eventually become the Panda Express empire.

The turning point for Panda Express came in 1983 when the Cherngs were invited to open a fast-food version of Panda Inn at the Glendale Galleria. This strategic move marked the birth of Panda Express, which quickly gained popularity for its quick service and flavorful dishes. The success of this first location led to rapid expansion across the United States, with the chain now boasting nearly 2,500 locations nationwide and international presence in 11 countries.

At the heart of Panda Express’s success is its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The restaurant’s operating systems, customized by Peggy Cherng, ensure that every meal is prepared with the freshest ingredients and served with a smile. Whether customers choose to dine in, take out, or order delivery, Panda Express strives to provide a consistent and enjoyable dining experience.

Panda Express is more than just a restaurant; it is a cultural phenomenon that has introduced many Americans to Chinese cuisine. For many, it is their first and sometimes only exposure to Chinese food, making it a significant part of American culinary culture. Despite criticisms about authenticity, Panda Express has managed to create a unique identity that blends traditional Chinese flavors with American tastes, making it accessible and appealing to a broad audience.

In addition to its culinary achievements, Panda Express is also recognized for its philanthropic efforts. The Panda Restaurant Group, the parent company of Panda Express, operates Panda Cares, a charitable arm dedicated to providing food, funding, and volunteer services to children’s organizations and disaster relief efforts. This commitment to community service reflects the company’s values of compassion and responsibility.

For those visiting the Los Angeles location, Panda Express offers a convenient dining option with its address at 2365 E Century Blvd. Customers can reach the restaurant by calling +1 213-909-9018 to place orders or inquire about services. Whether you’re a long-time fan of Orange Chicken or just discovering the flavors of Beijing Beef, Panda Express in Los Angeles is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the best of American-Chinese cuisine.

I came today and approached to order my food, said hi to Jasmine , she didn't reply and juts said what can serve you like saying hurry up and order your food. For the most part I get good customer service here so I won't spoil it for the rest of the employees. Management need to talk to the bad apples and teach them some customer service
